ART WALK TURNS FIVE IN NOVEMBER
WHAT: First Wednesday Art Walk
WHERE: Cultural institutions and businesses in Downtown Jacksonville
WHEN: Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. (Rain or Shine)

Hemming Plaza – Celebrate Art Walk’s 5th birthday! We’ll cut the birthday cake at 6:30 p.m. Watch the Scott Jones Dancers from 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., enjoy live music by St. Johns River City Band’s River City Fusion from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and view sidewalk chalk murals.
Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts –The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra presents a free preview of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, in celebration of Art Walk’s fifth anniversary at 7:00 p.m. Conductor Fabio Mechetti will give insights into the work of Beethoven as the Orchestra performs live excerpts from Beethoven’s famous masterpiece. Enjoy a reception afterwards with a wine bar, compliments of Savor Jacksonville, and birthday cake to celebrate of Art Walk’s fifth birthday.
The Jacksonville Landing – Free guided boat tours leaving every 15 minutes provided by the St. Johns Riverkeeper. Enjoy live music and “The Art of Fashion” in the courtyard. The fashion show is a can-food drive that benefiting The Children's Home Society of Florida, Second Harvest Food Bank of North Florida, and the Sulzbacher Home.
11 East – Be our guest! Join us and see collections from local artists who live and work in our vibrant communities. The event is on the 1st Floor.
The Official Art Walk After Party at Dive Bar. Turn in your flyer at the door for a complimentary well liquor drink, glass of house wine or draft beer. Must be 21 or older with proper ID.
