Downtown Vision, Inc. promotes all Downtown events and continues to produce six signature events to showcase all that Downtown has to offer. From dining on the river to art in the park, Downtown Vision continues to bring people Downtown for more than 70 day events per year.

Hemming Plaza Market (Every Friday)

Every Friday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Hemming Plaza gives your work week lunch routine a boost. Stretch your legs as you peruse baked goods, fresh-cut flowers and jewelry. Pick up fresh produce at the fruit and vegetable stand and listen to live music while you soak up the sun or sit in the cool breeze under the shade of an oak tree.

First Wednesday Art Walk (First Wednesday of every month)

On the first Wednesday of each month, Downtown Jacksonville is transformed into a walkable art gallery. The crowds flock Downtown to wander throughout the historic district of Jacksonville to appreciate art, culture and community. The music from a jazz trio flows from one street corner and the drum beat picks you up at the next. From visual artists to the performing arts, it is a festive atmosphere you can’t find anywhere else. Don’t miss the energy of this eclectic experience – it’s the place to be every first Wednesday. Eat Up Downtown (August 18-24, 2008)

Downtown Vision is dishing out exquisite cuisine at an affordable price with Downtown Jacksonville’s only dining week, Eat Up Downtown. Participating restaurants provide a specially selected (prix fixe) 3-course dinner menu for $25. There are no coupons to clip or tickets to buy. So, whether you're in the mood for filet mignon or sushi, this is an event worth watching to reserve your seat and Eat Up Downtown! 

Downtown Historic Church Tour (December 6, 2008)

Tour a century of sanctuaries in one afternoon at seven Downtown historic churches. The guide at each church highlights the architectural and historical significance of the building. Stroll the tour route with family and friends on a warm winter day, and experience Downtown filled with the music of church choirs, organs and bell towers. Movies in the Park (Spring 2009)

Enjoy free movie nights under the spring stars at the historic Treaty Oak at Jessie Ball DuPont Park. Bring your family and friends and pack a picnic dinner, lawn chairs and blankets for an outdoor movie experience. Movies in the park are PG-rated films for the whole family to enjoy.

Downtown Get Down (TBD)

In partnership with young professional organizations, this event is a social networking event for their members and promotes Downtown as a nightlife destination.
